Features
Vidcasting
We are based in Shanghai, China. Every 3-4 weeks we will bring you original video that we shoot and produce ourselves.
See the people and places of the world's fastest growing city. Kung Fu has only just made it's post-revolution comeback on the mainland, can it survive economy worship.
Are you coming to the Shanghai area? Contact us and be the next star of the kungfuology.com vidcast.
China Web Digest
Mainland China has the world's largest virtual space and a huge, active community of users. Unmarketed personal blogs can attract over 2000 comments per post.
Our Chinese speaking staff review the latest stories from the Chinese online Kung Fu world and let you know what's going on. They will provide translated samples, round ups and relevant links.
User Content
Kungfuology.com needs you!
Why not write an article for us? There are two ways you can do it. Write a stand alone article for us and submit it by e-mail or suggest a new feature and become a staff writer. First take a look around the site and note how we differ in writing style to most Kung Fu sites.
For detailed information, check out our write for us page.
The Lexicon
Most people into Kung Fu have heard of the 18 weapons of China but can you name them all? Our staff will gradually add posts to our lexicon over time allowing readers to link out of regular posts for more background on the nuts and bolts of Kung Fu.
We are not a Kung Fu Wiki and don't accept contributions to this feature. This is a support feature to our regular articles. It is not a search engine either.
Box of Shaw
Kungfuology.com staffer, Andy Best, was recently browsing the local DVD store in his Shanghai neighbourhood. Imagine his suprise when he came across a compressed format boxed set of 90 Shaw Brothers Kung Fu movies. Yes, ninety.
Andy will watch every single one and blog the experience here at kungfuology.com. This might take a while.
